*David Giwerc is a Master Certified ADHD Coach, MCAC, with the Professional Association of ADHD Coaches (PAAC) and a Master Certified Coach, MCC, with the International Coach Federation (ICF). He is also the Founder and President of the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), the first and largest comprehensive ADHD coach training program fully accredited by the ICF and PAAC, the governing bodies of the Life Coaching and ADHD Coaching Professions.

David has served on many boards over the years. As past president of the ADDA (Attention Deficit Disorder Association), he was instrumental in the formation of U.S. Senate resolution 370 (108th Congress)  that declared September 7, 2004, to be National ADHD Awareness Day. Eventually, the resolution culminated in the creation of ADHD Awareness month, a whole month where the leading non-profit ADHD organizations are devoted to sharing reliable information about ADHD, with the public, based on current neuroscience and peer-reviewed research. As a veteran ADDA board member, David was involved in the development of their “Guiding Principles for Coaching Individuals with ADHD.”

Currently, David serves on the Professional Advisory Board of ADDA, PAAC, and is a former board member of APSARD (American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders).

In his groundbreaking book, Permission to Proceed: The Keys to Creating a Life of Passion, Purpose, and Possibility for Adults with ADHD, David shares his unique and effective coaching models for gaining control of one’s ADHD at home, work, and in the community.

.David is an inductee of the International CHADD Hall of Fame and a recipient of the ACO Founders Award for his many contributions in the field of ADHD coaching and research.

David is also one of the authors of the pioneering research, Are There Character Strengths Associated with Adult ADHD? Comparison of ADHD Adults and Controls on the VIA Inventory of Strengths, which received one of the four best poster research awards at the annual APSARD conference.

As a spokesperson for the ADHD coaching profession, David has been featured in numerous national publications, radio and television programs, and has been a key presenter at various national and international conferences. Prior to coaching, David helped develop and direct the marketing/strategic plans on behalf of one of the world's largest advertising agencies, Young & Rubicam.

David is a 1978 graduate cum laude of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications. He and his wife, Marla (ADDCA co-founder), have two adult children. In his previous life, David played Division I college basketball and earned a black belt in Budokai Karate.

David has an internationally recognized coaching practice dedicated to empowering ADHD entrepreneurs, executives, and CEOs from businesses of all sizes. David’s ADHD coaching skills, intuitive business sense, and diverse experience have been credited in helping to transform struggling businesses into profitable thriving enterprises.

Barbara Luther, MA, MCAC, MCC

Barbara Luther, MA, MCAC, MCC,  is the Director of Training for the ADD Coach Academy, co-author of the ADDCA training curriculum . Barbara specializes in coaching adults impacted by ADHD to rewrite their “what’s not working” stories into appreciative and empowering stories about their unique brain wiring and strengths.

Barbara was the founding president for the Professional Association of ADHD Coaches (PAAC), an organization devoted to establishing and maintaining global standards of excellence for ADHD coaches. PAAC offers three levels of credentialing for ADHD coaches and also accredits qualified ADHD coach training programs.

Prior to becoming a coach, Barbara worked for more than twenty years as a college educator, technical writer/designer, and corporate project manager. She ran her own information consulting business for eight years prior to building her coaching practice. She completed her coach education at Coach University, Corporate Coach University, Attraction University, and the Optimal Functioning Institute. She received her Professional Mentor Coach and Certified Teleclass Leader designations from Coach U, and an Advanced Certified Corporate Business Coach designation from Corporate Coach U.

In 1997, Barbara became a Faculty Member at Coach University and later Corporate Coach University. Over the past 20 years, Barbara has trained, observed, mentored, and assessed thousands of coaches while on the faculty of several accredited coach training programs. Barbara has been a Credentialing Assessor with the International Coach Federation since 1999, and she was Co-Chair for the 2006 ICF Annual Conference as well as Conference Bookstore Chair for six years.

Barbara is a frequent speaker at ADHD Coaches Organization and Attention Deficit Disorder Association conferences as well as regional ADHD and coaching conferences. She is an author of numerous articles on ADHD and coaching. Barbara’s personal experience as an Inattentive and her passion for the unique challenges Inattentives face has her currently working on a book for those diagnosed as ADHD Inattentive.

Caroline Maguire, M.Ed, ACCG, PCAC, PCC

Caroline Maguire, M.Ed, ACCG, PCAC, PCC is a top expert in the field of social skills development. She guides parents, clinicians and academic professionals to recognize and address the challenges associated with executive function and social isolation. She is the author of Why Will No One Play With Me?, a number one Amazon new release book and the recipient of a prestigious parenting award and a training methodology that has sparked a revolution in our understanding of social skills dynamics. 

Caroline was trained with and is certified by the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA) and is the founder and director of an ADDCA's Fundamentals of ADHD Coaching for Families curriculum, which provides accredited training hours toward Re-Certification at PAAC/ICF.

In addition to her private practice, Caroline also speaks at various venues throughout the world on topics related to coaching children and adults with ADHD, LD, or social skills challenges.

  • As a CHADD certified parent-to-parent coach, she offers training classes on parenting ADHD children.
  • As an ADDCA teleclass leader, she mentors future coaches attempting to pass their ICF certifications and helps them build their family coaching practices.

Caroline earned her undergraduate degree from Trinity College, and her Masters of Education and Early Childhood Development from Lesley University, where she spent four years studying the effects of executive function skills training on children with social skills deficits. Her research culminated in a masters thesis entitled: 'Why Will No One Play With Me?', a guidebook for parents and professionals.

Formerly, Caroline was the main coach for children and teenagers at the Hallowell Center in Sudbury, MA, and co-led social skills groups and consulted with local schools.

She lives with her husband and two children outside Boston MA. Originally from Cape Cod, she still enjoys spending long summer days there with her happily hyperactive cousins and family members.

Roger DeWitt, MAPP, MCAC, PCC

For more than nine years, Roger DeWitt, MAPP, MCAC, PCC has been supporting business owners, creative professionals, and the "professionally creative," as well as mentoring other coaches to build extraordinary lives, careers, and small businesses.

As a trained ADHD coach, he specializes in helping his wonderful "creatives" to focus, follow through, and find peace and space in a fast paced world that is always grabbing for their attention. Clients find success and finally "live up to their potential," faster and more easily than they ever thought possible, and they have way more fun in the process than "a body ought to!"

Having grown up in one of the most competitive and emotionally grueling businesses -- the entertainment industry -- he brings 37 years worth of passionate experience and good 'ole fashioned "know how" in being able to "get your message out there" and provide amazing value while getting through it all emotionally "unscathed." Roger is passionate about cutting-edge technology and marketing tactics, and loves passing his knowledge on to his clients.

Jay Perry, MFA, MCAC, PCC

Since 1979, Jay Perry, MFA, MCAC, PCC, has coached executives on five continents and led workshops for thousands of people around the world on topics as diverse as business planning, leadership, transformational change, coaching skills, communication, and career planning. In the corporate arena, he has developed and led Coach Training Programs for three Fortune 500 companies. He specializes in coaching senior executives to advance their careers, think creatively, and keep their priorities straight. He has also mentored and trained several hundred coaches, including many leaders in the field.

In 1991, Jay began working with legendary coach Thomas Leonard, and participated in the creation of Coach University. He was also one of the founders of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and served on its Board of Directors for four years.

His professional experience includes ownership of a New York theater, running an interactive computer company, and, for 12 years, presiding as president of AIP, Inc., a training and consulting company in New York and Los Angeles.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University. 

Michele Toner, PhD, ACCG, PCAC, PCC

Michele Toner, PhD, ACCG, PCAC, PCC coaches individuals with ADHD across Australia and around the world, either face-to-face, or via Skype. She was the first credentialed coach in Australia, and now works as a mentor with aspiring coaches in order to develop the industry "Down Under." CoachU gave Michele the coaching basics and she completed her advanced training with ADDCA. In addition, Michele has a PhD and a Master of Special Education in the area of ADHD.
 

Michele's Masters thesis, entitled “Adults with ADHD; Living in Chaos and Striving for Control”, explores the lives of adults with ADHD who were undiagnosed as children. Her PhD thesis investigated the experiences of university students diagnosed with ADHD, identifying strategies to help them with their studies and personal lives as they went through various “Stages of Developing Empowerment.” Both convinced her that coaching could be an important part of ADHD treatment.
 

Michele started supporting people with ADHD and their families in a part-time capacity in 1995. She was President of the Learning and Attentional Disorders Society (LADS), Australia’s leading support group for people with ADHD. Having witnessed numerous ADHD success stories unfold, she was inspired to start practicing as a fulltime ADHD coach in 2009. Michele is passionate about helping people of all ages with ADHD to achieve their goals, and to change their lives for the better. She advocates for people with ADHD in the workplace and in educational settings, and strives to educate others about ADHD. Sought after as a speaker at conferences and public functions, Michele invites professionals and members of the general public to learn more about ADHD, and to support those with the diagnosis.

Dana Maher, JD, ACCG, PCAC, PCC

Dana Maher, JD, ACCG, PCAC, PCC is a Senior Leader, Assessor and Mentor Coach. She is a former ADDCA student, certified through ADDCA's Advanced ADHD & Life Coaching Program in addition to her certifications through PAAC and ICF.

 As an ADHD and life coach Dana has a special interest in Asperger Syndrome, executive function, positivity, resilience, and happiness. Working with adolescents, adults, families, and professionals, Dana pushes her clients to use their own positive strengths to break through barriers and, ultimately, live the lives they want to lead. She is fascinated by the science of ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, executive function, positivity, resilience, and happiness, and thoroughly enjoys applying such knowledge to help individuals explore their own possibilities.

Before becoming a coach, Dana started and ran a special education parents group in her school district for three and a half years. Dana has also served two years on the Parents Advisory Board for Children’s Specialized Hospital. Interested in the unique brain wiring of those with ADHD and/or Asperger’s Syndrome, she found she loved working with parents and sharing knowledge with them. Through her journey of becoming a coach, she realized not only struggling students needed coaching support, but also working parents, families, and adult professionals. Today Dana’s diverse clients include:

  • Adults, students, and their families, diagnosed with ADHD; Asperger's Syndrome; PDD-NOS; and/or NVLD who want help to have greater success at home, work and school.
  • Women in the technology sector who wish to accept happiness, be their best, and make their unique voice heard in a male-dominated industry. 
  • Professionals in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) careers, who want support and help with their personal growth, life satisfaction, career development, and interactions/management of colleagues.
  • Entrepreneurs who want to work as a team to help manage, grow, and further not only their businesses, but themselves as well. 
  • Coaches who need a professional Mentor Coach to help cultivate and expand on their existing coaching skills and business models.
  • Individuals who want an objective perspective to support them in discovering what kinds of personal changes they want to make and how to make them, or seeking a less stressed routine that allows them to find the path to their own great potential.

As for her formal education, she received a B.S. in Accounting from Susquehanna University, and a J.D. from Seton Hall Law School. She has worked in the title insurance industry as a licensed title producer, as well as an attorney in the legal profession.

Dana lives in New Jersey with her husband and two teenage boys.

Diane McLean, M.Ed, ACCG, PCAC, MCC

Diane McLean, M.Ed, ACCG, PCAC, MCC is an ADHD and life coach with a special interest in executive functioning skills. A graduate of ADDCA, Diane coaches children of all ages, parents and families, and adults in all phases of life from a strong strengths-based perspective. She brings to coaching over 25 years of experience in the field of education, working as a school counselor and teacher with students in preschool through high school, as well as parents, teachers, and administrators. She consults frequently with schools and provides input for IEPs and 504 plans for students with ADHD, as well as classroom accommodations.

In 2006, Diane began integrating therapy dogs into her work in social/emotional learning, self-regulation, and executive functions training. Her current service dog partner, Digby, is a yellow Labrador Retriever. Although he meets all diagnostic criteria for ADHD himself, he is an accomplished medical alert and mobility support dog. Digby helps Diane’s clients realize that we can all use our amazing strengths to help with self-regulation, attention, and other executive functions to achieve great success!

Diane is mentor coach, as well as a local and national presenter on the topics of ADHD and executive functioning skills. As a contributing author of Alan Graham’s The Guide to ADHD Coaching: How to Find an ADHD Coach and What to Do When You Get One, she wrote “Executive Functions Coaching: Getting Things Done.” She is a support group facilitator for ADDA, an active member of CHADD, a volunteer with ADHDKC Teens, and a member of the International Coach Federation.

A proud native Texan, Diane received her B.S. in Education from the University of Texas and her M.Ed. in Counseling and Student Services from the University of North Texas. Mother of two adult children, she currently lives in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband, son, and furry friends.

Lynn Shumaker, M.Ed, ACCG, PCAC, PCC

Lynn Shumaker, M.Ed, ACCG, PCAC, PCC enjoys coaching individuals and families impacted by ADHD. Lynn is a certified graduate of the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), successfully completing all of ADDCA’s coursework and in 2017 was among the first 16 coaches in the world to complete ADDCA’s inaugural course, Fundamentals of ADHD Coaching for Families. Lynn trained as a Relax Kids coach to include mindfulness into her coaching repertoire.

She consults frequently with schools and provides input for IEPs and 504 plans for students with ADHD, as well as classroom accommodations.

As a coach, her great insight and intuition help guide her understanding of you during the coaching process. Her teaching background helps her understand how people think, their strengths and how to enhance their deficits. She also understands the difficulties teachers face in managing their own lives. She tremendously enjoys working with individuals and couples facing life changes or challenges. She understands first hand the impact a disability can have on family members. She promises you, her fullest attention, resources and personal connection.

Her first hand experiences with ADHD in her family coupled with her classroom teaching, created the perfect combination to become an insightful, knowledgeable coach.

Lynn Shumaker taught elementary school children for 35 years. Lynn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education, and a Master’s in Reading from Shippensburg University.

Lynn lives with her husband near Harrisburg Pa. She enjoys creative cooking and spending time with friends and family both in PA and St. Pete’s Beach Florida. She’s known to make friends with strangers in unexpected places.

Linda King, ACCG, PCAC, MCC

Linda King, ACCG, PCAC, MCC, is a former educator, former parenting educator (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting), and current ADHD coach with over 10 years of ADHD coaching experience. She has over 475 hours of coach training, including family-specific ADHD coach training. She holds advanced certifications in both ADHD coaching and life coaching. She is a graduate of the ADD Coach Academy, a Master Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, a Professional Certified ADHD Coach with PAAC, a Session Leader for PAAC, and a professional member of CHADD.

While pursuing her bachelor’s degree from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, Linda interned for the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood TV show. After graduation, Linda went on to teach elementary school in Pittsburgh Public Schools, while taking psychology classes at the University of Pittsburgh in the evenings.

She began to develop her coaching techniques at this time, successfully applying them to her teaching and motivating her students to succeed.

Linda left teaching to pursue a career in television, but a computer science class at Pitt took her in a different direction. She went on to earn a second bachelor’s degree — this time in Computer Science — from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in Computer Science from New York University.

Linda was hired by AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey. It was while working in the Digital System Research division at Bell Labs that she created her first coaching group, helping fellow employees perform more effectively on the job.

Linda later joined a small software company in New Jersey, where she served as a software project leader and managed a team of developers. She gained international experience by working on and traveling to projects in Japan and England.

After the birth of her first child, Linda left the corporate world to enjoy that all-important quality of life. She eventually developed her own consulting business for the real estate industry where she helped agents join the computer generation and produced a real estate software product used by the largest real estate boards in Massachusetts.

As a homeschooling mom, Linda fine-tuned her coaching skills, teaching her children how to use time effectively and also helping others within her homeschooling community. She worked briefly as a professional organizer, but friends encouraged her to use her skills to do ADHD coaching.

Realizing that coaching was both a calling and a passion, Linda opened her formal coaching practice in early 2010. The enthusiastic feedback she receives from her clients tells her that she’s definitely fulfilling her purpose in life.

Linda currently resides in the Boston area with her husband. They are the proud parents of two successfully-launched adult children.

Bethany Febus, ACCG, PCAC, PCC

Bethany Febus ACCG, PCAC, PCC, is a certified graduate of the ADD Coach Academy, including theFundamentals of ADHD Coaching for Families Program.

Bethany coaches from the context of her own deeply personal experience with ADHD, which provides her the passion to support individuals, of any age, through the process of understanding the way their own unique brain works.

Bethany’s work with adults includes those newly diagnosed, creatives, entrepreneurs, stay-at-home parents, and people in job and life transitions. 

When working with families Bethany supports her clients to:

  • Learn to recognize and manage their own regulatory systems with confidence.  This includes understanding and managing their attention, emotions, activity, and impulsivity. 
  • Build executive function skills that support all areas of life including planning prioritizing, organization, and time management; all working toward increased independence.
  • Co-creates tools and support systems with students that feel manageable to reach their academic goals.
  • Develop social skills through a self-awareness, perspective taking, role play and simulation.

Bethany works with the whole family to better understand the individual with ADHD and/or executive function challenges and to develop a system of support for achieving the whole family's goals.

Megan Schrade, ACCG, PCC

Megan Schrade, ACCG, PCC is a certified graduate of the ADD Coach Academy and has also completed training through the Fundamentals of ADHD Coaching for Families Program.

Megan enjoys coaching adults, children, and families, around learning about and learning to love their own unique brain wiring!  Having ADHD herself, Megan understands on a personal level that individuals with ADHD may take an unconventional path, and coaches from this perspective with curiosity and wonder.  Using a strengths-based approach, Megan partners with her clients to:

·        Connect to their personal values and find direction and purpose

·        Understand executive function and develop personal strategies and supports that work for them

·        Explore thought patterns or beliefs that may be holding them back professionally, academically, and/or socially.

·        Build social skills and understanding of social expectations

·        Develop awareness around self-regulation and explore tools to manage emotions and attention

·        Understand their strengths and unique needs and advocate for themselves in school or in the workplace   

Megan also coaches parents and families to better support their family members with ADHD and executive function challenges both at home and in school.  She provides input for IEPs and 504 plans for students, and consults with local school districts and private schools to develop accommodations and supports.  In addition to her work with schools, Megan has also worked to support families in her local community through advocacy.  She co-founded a parent-led Special Education advocacy group in her town and presents to local SEPTA groups and educational professionals.

Megan holds a BS from Northeastern University in Human Services with a specialization in Special Education.  She worked for over 10 years as an ABA therapist and Case Manager.  In these roles, her work focused on social skills development and parent training and support; experience she draws upon in her coaching practice. 

Megan enjoys daily walks/hikes, reading, and spending time with family and friends.  She lives in Oxford, CT with her husband, 3 children, and beagle.  A happy household of neuro-divergents!

Mira Weinfeld, MBA, CCC-SLP, ACCG, PCAC, PCC

Combining her love of ADHD coaching and the science of positive psychology, Mira Weinfeld, MBA, ACCG. PCAC, PCC supports clients with ADHD to move towards thriving and flourishing. Before her work as a coach, Mira's diverse experience included careers in healthcare auditing and consulting, graphic design, marketing, and communication disorders. Her path then took a turn when partnering in an entrepreneurial venture. Charged with writing a business plan that described the ADHD landscape, including its professionals, Mira's research led her to ADDCA. There, she continued her exploration of ADHD and was introduced to character strengths, which led her to form a practice integrating ADHD coaching with applied positive psychology.

Using an ADHD and strength-based lens, Mira partners with her clients to:

  • co-create strategies and utilize tools that leverage their unique brain wiring
  • overcome executive function challenges and obstacles
  • develop strengths awareness, explore past and future potential use of strengths, and take actions to build their strengths
  • set meaningful goals aligned with their interests, values, and strengths
  • develop healthy relationships with themselves by increasing self-acceptance and building self-compassion

Jamie Blume, MPH, ACCG, PCAC, PCC coaches teenagers to adults throughout the United States and abroad as well as mentors other coaches on their quest of building their businesses and enrichening their lives. Jamie works with young adults, parents, couples, adults, and other coaches on their journey to a happier life.

Jamie supports her clients through hard times and challenging moments. Cathy Rashidian is a certified executive coach, specializing in ADHD (ACCG, PCAC, PCC).  She draws from her experience living with ADHD and her 20 years of experience in various leadership roles in corporate Canada to adapt traditional executive coaching to meet the specific needs of adults with ADHD.  

Cathy works collaboratively with her clients to develop sustainable personalized action plans that help them thrive in the workplace and home.

In addition to providing one-on-one coaching, Cathy also offers workshops and seminars for business leaders.  Recognizing the benefits of effectively managing employees with Adult ADHD, Cathy provides progressive organizations and their leaders with some of the most effective strategies for supporting individuals with ADHD.  These informative and practical sessions enable organizations and leaders to create supportive, non-judgmental workplaces and ultimately increase productivity while improving employee engagement and retention.

Rosemary Hollinger, JD, ACCG, PCAC, PCC

Rosemary Hollinger, JD, ACCG, PCAC, PCC, is a certified graduate of the ADD Coach Academy and has also completed training through Coach Training Institute (now known as Co-Active Training Institute).  Rosemary enjoys coaching professionals and entrepreneurs to align their values and strengths in living their best possible personal and professional lives.  She has a special interest in developing workplace strategies for adults with ADHD. 

Rosemary began her coaching journey in 2017, when she initiated the idea of an in-house coaching program in the regional office of a federal agency.  The program trained 8 coaches who each coached 2-3 employees.  During the 12 weeks of the pilot program, the culture of the office was visibly changing with improved communication and collaboration.  Rosemary was completely sold on the concept of coaching.  Almost immediately after establishing her practice, Rosemary turned to coaching professionals with ADHD because this is where she saw the greatest need and, let’s face it, Neuro-Atypicals are more fun!  

Rosemary is the parent of two sons with ADHD. As soon as they were diagnosed, she read everything she could on ADHD and was amazed to learn that what she always accepted as “normal” wasn’t considered “normal,” and that her world was full of people dealing with the challenges of ADHD.  Despite what the experts were saying at the time, she realized that ADHD challenges didn’t end upon high school graduation and that many of the lawyers she was supervising were struggling with the same issues.  She started by adapting the strategies teachers were using in the classroom to the workplace and got good results. She originally started her ADDCA training to improve her skills and got hooked on the ADDCA approach. Using the knowledge she gained at ADDCA, she encourages her clients to experiment with strategies custom designed to deal with their challenges while building on their strengths.  

Rosemary supports her clients to:

  • Learn to recognize and accept how their unique brain works.  Using a skiing analogy, she points out that skis (and snowboards) are designed to turn in a certain way.  If you fight your skis, it’s ugly (and you could get hurt).  But if you work with your skis, it’s amazing.  Same thing with the ADHD brain.  It’s designed to work in a certain way, stop fighting it, work with it, and do amazing things.  
  • Build executive function skills that support all areas of life including planning, prioritizing, procrastination, social skills, time management and emotional regulation.
  • Align their personal values and strengths to their professional and personal life. A career path that doesn’t align with the client’s values is like wearing a pair of shoes that don’t fit.  No matter how good it looks from the outside, you’re always in pain. 

Rosemary facilitates a group for Lawyers with ADHD which uses group coaching techniques combined with mentoring and mutual support.

Rosemary lives with her husband, a dog and a cat on Bainbridge Island, Washington, except during ski season when they all become snowbirds and migrate to Utah for sunshine and snow. Over the years, the Hollingers have hosted 15 exchange students from 10 countries.  This experience has given her a close-up view of the challenges of adapting to US culture. She is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago (BA), Georgetown University Law Center (JD) and DePaul University (MS).  When she practiced law, she saw herself as a trial lawyer, mentor and an educator.  Now she is embracing her new identity as a coach, mentor and educator.

Tori Throckmorton is an ADHD coach, entrepreneur and aspiring author. She has over 15 years of leadership experience as a US naval officer, helicopter pilot, management consultant, and corporate leader. Tori holds a B.S. in computer science from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD later in life—and only after hitting burnout in her corporate job—Tori is a fierce advocate for self-compassion and neuro-awareness.
