Dr. John Bailey is the founder of the first ADHD clinic in Alabama, the Center for Attention & Learning in Mobile. He primarily treats ADHD but he also deals with related conditions such as autism, behavioral issues, LD, processing disorders, and bipolar and other mood disorders.
He is a 1975 & 1978 graduate of the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Medicine. His residency was performed at the Medical College of Virginia, and he did Family Practice for 20 years, but in 1995 he restricted his practice to psychiatry with a focus on ADHD. Since then he has treated about 4,000 ADHD patients, approximately half children and half adults, ranging in age from 4 to 75.
Since 2003 he has been on the Professional Advisory Board of the A.D.D.A., the national adult Attention Deficit Disorder Association, and is actually the only member of that board in the southern United States. He participated in the early real-world research studies on both Adderall and Adderall XR.
