ADHD Coaching for Men | Understand Your Brain. Rediscover Your Strengths. Move Forward.

Jody Wassel, AACC
Jody Wassel, AACC

I coach men with diagnosed, undiagnosed, or suspected ADHD at every stage of adult life, with a particular passion for helping men navigating midlife, career transitions, and later-life discoveries about how their brains work.

As a late-diagnosed ADHD coach and former staffing business owner, I bring both personal understanding and more than 30 years of professional experience in helping people recognize their strengths and potential.

My coaching approach is collaborative, curious, and strengths-based. Together, we explore how ADHD shows up in everyday life, relationships, careers, and personal goals. Rather than trying to fix what's wrong, we focus on understanding how your brain works, building self-trust, and discovering practical strategies that align with your strengths, values, and aspirations.

My goal is to help men move beyond years of frustration, self-doubt, or feeling misunderstood toward greater confidence, clarity, and a more fulfilling life.

Client Testimonial

"Before talking to Jody, I was feeling like I had no direction. I wasn’t feeling very happy with my current career. I felt something was missing and with work opportunities not as abundant as it had been, I had started to notice glaringly that I need to change something. In our first session I was challenged to really look at myself and what would make me happy. That’s all it took. He helped me to gather my thoughts and ruminate on some goals and suddenly I had a plan. I’m back in school and believe I’m on the right path where I can add additional tools to my belt. I’m excited to see what’s over the horizon."

I work with men at every stage of adult life, particularly those who have recently received an ADHD diagnosis or are beginning to recognize ADHD traits in themselves.

Many of the men I coach have spent years feeling capable but inconsistent, successful but overwhelmed, or frustrated by the gap between what they know they can accomplish and what they actually get done.

Areas We Explore Together

  • Late-Diagnosed ADHD: Understanding how ADHD has influenced your experiences, relationships, self-confidence, and sense of identity.
  • Executive Function Challenges: Developing personalized approaches to procrastination, time management, organization, working memory, and follow-through.
  • Emotional Regulation: Exploring frustration, overwhelm, rejection sensitivity (RSD), and the emotional experiences associated with ADHD.
  • Career and Workplace Coaching: Navigating career transitions, job searches, workplace expectations, leadership, and professional growth.
  • Life Transitions: Finding clarity and renewed purpose through changes in relationships, careers, family responsibilities, and retirement.
  • ADHD and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI): Exploring the overlapping executive function challenges associated with ADHD and acquired brain injury.

My Coaching Philosophy

I believe meaningful change begins with awareness, curiosity, and self-compassion rather than judgment.

Together, we explore your strengths, values, and natural ways of thinking to develop strategies that fit your life instead of forcing you into systems that don't.

You don't have to change who you are to change how you move forward.
