Client Testimonial

It is very special for me to write this testimonial for Alanna Graham, as she is someone who has helped me develop and evolve in many important areas of my life. Alanna has played a vital role in where I am today – a much more confident and courageous version of myself. Even though I grew up in a completely different culture than her, I felt so welcomed and understood by Alanna, and our work together has led me to overcome many significant obstacles.

When I first came to Alanna, I approached her with a more clinical mind-frame, and was uncertain what to expect. With intuition and compassion – two qualities I value highly in her - Alanna helped me to sift through my feelings and made a space for us, in each session, to get to the bottom of what was really going on for me. She was constantly patient and kind, and she facilitated a space for me to connect with myself in new and profound ways.

Alanna helped me feel empowered enough to investigate my own feelings and thought processes, teaching me that this deep work is not one size fits all – I felt that every step of the way was tailored just for me, and this allowed me to feel safe and supported through each moment of my work with her.

Through this empowering process, Alanna allowed me to understand that it is ok to ask for help. I always thought I needed to do everything on my own, and through my work with Alanna I have been able to recognize that I did not have to stay tied to the mirage of expectation, or the pressures I put on myself to be perfect in all aspects of my life. Alanna helped me sort through my own relationship to the projections that we can all experience coming from society and family, and through helping me see these projections more clearly, Alanna helped me get rid of guilt, and to realize that I did not have to be perfect all the time.

Once I realized that it is ok to be imperfect, I was able to embrace my own humanity and to feel that I could like myself and truly know myself for the first time.  This led to impactful work to improve my self image and to create a deeper connection with who I now know my true self to be. This, in turn, inspired and ignited the courage to step out of my comfort zones, allowing me to share my art with the world for the first time, and to feel comfortable in my own skin while doing so.  It feels so enriching to have the confidence to share important parts of myself with the world in this way, and I feel that I own Alanna a lot, as she has played a huge role in this feeling possible for me.

Through our work together, Alanna has created a safe space, given me many tools, and guided me into the understanding that, even though I have obstacles such as ADHD and some other challenges, I know that I am ok, am going to be ok, and that I can acknowledge all the good things about myself too. Understanding that failure is ok and that it is not a weakness to ask for help has been a pivotal part of my growth. Alanna helped me to see that prioritizing my own well-being in new ways actually makes me much stronger, and more able to be fully present for my family. I have learned that by letting go of the guilt of trying to reach this unattainable goal of perfection, I actually can have more courage and can address all the things in my life that are the most important. This process with Alanna has felt like a re-birth to me, and has allowed me to stand up for the things in my life that I believe in.

I am truly grateful to have found Alanna, and deeply respect her process and expertise.

Alanna brings a holistic and person-centered approach to Coaching; she lovingly refers to her job as "supporting clients in 'wrangling' the tricky parts of their ADHD, so that all the fabulous parts can come to the forefront".

The client's relationship with themselves is at the top of Alanna's priority list. Self compassion, self love, and a healthy internal dialogue are often things the ADHDer is starved of. Alanna wants to support you in remembering your truth; that you were born worthy and that you already possess everything you need to live a life of peace, purpose, belonging, and deep fulfillment.
