Be Visible and Light the World

David Christianson, AACC

Allo, Allo, I am David Christianson, and I work with people who have ADHD, their loved ones, and anyone who wants to understand ADHD better. My goal is to create a world where personal and societal narratives of "normal" include ADHD and those with ADHD have the community support to thrive.

I will work with you to embrace your ADHD experience. To develop the tools, strategies, and understanding needed to own your individual ADHD experience fully. Even if you do not have ADHD but live with someone who does have ADHD, you have an ADHD experience.

Cost should never be a factor in becoming visible; I offer a sliding scale to ensure that no matter your current circumstances, coaching and support will be available.

I am unofficially a chaos-type ADDer, and I LOVE it, and I love working with them. This means for me that many of the structures and tools become too confined. Embracing my ADHD experience means that I give myself a strong but very open structure allowing the grace and the space to love my chaos.

An example: I add 15 minutes to every 1/2 hour a drive should take. That way, when I forget my wallet, miss an exit, or forget where I am going, I have a cushion. I answer hyper's cries by dancing and laughing throughout the day (my teenage daughter is not always a fan, but she joins in too when hyper's bugging her, and when no one can see, of course).

When we embrace ADHD as a personal experience, it no longer is a "problem" we need to overcome or a "superpower." It instead becomes a normal and wonderous part of us. A chance to see the world anew, own our journey, and on the practical side to never be bored.
