Stop Trying to Change Yourself and Start Changing Your World

I work with high school, college, and adult students.  ADHD can make it difficult for students to plan ahead, keep a schedule, organize their space, and remember names, dates, times, and things to do. All of these issues can contribute to students with ADHD having difficulties in and out of school. Many students with ADHD can see how their lives should be working and they can't make it happen. More precisely, they don't have the tools to make it happen. That's where a mentor or coach comes in. Hi, that's me! I help my students create the physical and mental environments they need to thrive.  What I do is talk to my students about the difficulties they are having and try to discover where those difficulties are coming from, then together my student and I will come up with solutions that fit them.  By working collaboratively, my students learn how to strengthen some skills and work around others.

Client Testimonial

"Fabulous tutor and so much more.

Jennifer is meeting twice a week with my 15-year-old son who has executive functioning and reading comprehension challenges. He also has issues with behavior and drugs. He does not like school or working with adults, but he likes Jennifer! She is amazing with him. After only a month they have a real connection. Jennifer has an extensive background in special ed and personal experience within her family. She is extremely patient, positive, affirming, and nonjudgmental. She has gone above and beyond to be there for my son, both academically and personally. We are all grateful to have her in our lives."

The other group I work with is digital nomads and others who live on the road.  I am a nomad myself, traveling North America in my Jeep and trailer. So many times, I have heard people say that the health and care professionals they work with don't understand this lifestyle and try to convince them to move back to the sticks and bricks that are the cause of their distress.  Your life is a journey, and it helps to work with someone who is traveling the same road.
