Kamala is a mother of a big neurodivergent family. She is a coach, speaker and advocate in the ADHD community. She has spent most of her life pursuing self development and growth.

She made her way to coaching in the all too common path of being diagnosed after her child was. While trying to find resources for her children she saw herself again and again in the literature. On her social media she appeared like she had the perfect family but behind the camera she was a hot mess. Her family suffered from executive function deficits and emotional dysregulation ( fancy words for leaving the laundry in the machine for days, never knowing what the plan was for dinner and a lot of melt downs).

She credits coaching as the magic sauce that took her from barely surviving to thriving with ADHD. Through coaching she has found her passion and works in her strengths of building community, self- compassion and continuous learning. In addition to her lived experience as a late diagnosed ADHD women, mother of many ADHD children, she adds her ADDCA education. With this combination she is able to help clients work through blocks, set boundaries, reframe negative self talk and  reinvent themselves to achieve their desired goals. By working on awareness, acceptance and action she takes her clients from knowing to doing. Collaborating with schools, businesses and government she is instrumental in creating environments where individuals with ADHD can be their best selves.

She can be found body doubling and having random dance parties with her five kids. She loves the outdoors, her dog and volunteering at church and in her kids’ schools. She is an avid writer and loves to read.

Client Testimonial

From a mother’s perspective:
"Kamala has completely changed nearly every aspect of my life in such a beautiful way, I can not express my gratitude enough. Her warmth and passion for helping individuals and families with ADHD thrive was evident from the first time we spoke. She is so incredibly knowledgeable about ADHD from so many different lenses, as a mother with ADHD struggling to parent children with ADHD I was in need of many layers of support. Over the course of several coaching sessions Kamala helped me dive deep into my challenges and start working through them to find ways to bring more peace to my home and within myself. My relationship with my children began to improve as I began to role model better emotional regulation and support my children with learning their own emotional regulation skills. Kamala was an incredible resource for helping me develop schedules to bring more structure to our days and with a new understanding of how to keep my kids motivated we have so much more success with daily tasks. Through Kamala’s coaching I really began to move past simply accepting and accommodating my ADHD and into genuinely loving myself. I had the understanding and confidence to better articulate myself to family, friends, and anyone in our live who may benefit from better understanding ADHD. I am so grateful that I chose Kamala as my coach, she was such a great fit for me and her coaching has been such a gift to our family."

From a wife’s perspective:
"I truly believe Kamala’s ADHD coaching saved my marriage. Prior to her support I had felt like I was constantly failing my husband, and truly just failing in general. I was a stay at home mom but struggled with basic homemaking and executive function tasks like paperwork, washing dishes, or even have our bedroom clean enough to walk through. I was diagnosed with ADHD well into adulthood and initially my world felt upside down. Through Kamala’s coaching and wisdom she helped me understand so much about my brain and why I do the things I do, and that I am so capable of making adjustments to help me manage so much better. I can not explain the weight that was lifted when I understood that I did not ‘suck at adulting’, I had a brain that was motivation driven and I could structure my day differently to be so much more successful at tasks. The more I understood about my ADHD the more my husband understood me, he became much more gentle in his approach and encouraging of me, things that would have caused conflicts for the first 20 years of our relationship were met with empathy and him often offering support or help. I am incredibly grateful that I met Kamala and for the support she has given me."

From a husband’s perspective:
"Our whole world changed when my wife began being coached by Kamala. My wife had struggled with basic housework, finding items, remembering tasks, and everything in between and in time I had grown very frustrated. VERY frustrated. With my wife’s ADHD diagnosis came a whirlwind of information and I could see she was overwhelmed. I was unsure what to expect when she mentioned getting an ADHD coach, but after my wife’s first coaching session with Kamala I could see the shift in my wife. She said it helped her put together the pieces and brought such a feeling of relief and validation, it helped us both make sense out of so many challenges our relationship had over the years. My wife looked forward to Kamala’s coaching sessions and left each one feeling empowered and with practical ideas to try out. What I did not expect was how profoundly and quickly this would benefit our marriage, it seemed like within a matter of weeks we had gone from a cycle of frustrating conflicts to us both understanding ADHD and being able to approach challenges so differently, it was like a weight was lifted off of our marriage. What used to be me giving jabs about half finished tasks turned into me offering to body double my wife to help her finish or me announcing the time every few minutes before we leave the house to help my wife be out the door on time. Kamala helped my wife gain so much confidence to navigate her ADHD and in doing so helped our marriage become so much closer."

Kamala uses VIA Character Strength Surveys, Executive Function Surveys, Evaluation of Values, Body Budget, and Learning Modalities to help her clients create a customized operations manual. As she is always looking to add value to her coaching skills, she recently added skills in Positive Intelligence awareness. (Okay, so I know that sounds like homework, but don't worry -- she'll work through it with you and make sure you have this information so you better understand your uniquely wired brain).
