I created The Learning Landscape after working as a teacher of pre-k, kindergarten, and first graders. It was clear to me then that there were a multitude of students that were not learning at their highest capacity due to their neurodiversity. Even with the most proficient educators these kids struggled to focus and to be their best selves in the classroom. I wanted to know why and I desperately wanted to empower them and see them succeed. My vision became one of educating and collaborating with students and their families. Using a strengths-based approach, together we learn about the brain, what comes easily and what is challenging to them. Meeting in 50 minute sessions (in person or via video conferencing) I bring compassion, patience, and understanding to each unique student. We cover academics, social, and emotional issues and create a landscape that ultimately flourishes.
