"Before Sarah we felt we had tried all the interventions we had been recommended including regular psychological support, medication, school-based intervention, tutoring but were still floundering on a daily basis to see positive long-lasting impacts. Frustration and family conflict would bubble to the surface frequently; I personally was finding the challenge of navigating a positive path for my child particularly difficult. Sarahâs weekly coaching sessions have seen productive processes adopted by my boy and a lasting peace descend on our home. I could not recommend her enough. Thank you, Sarah."
My expertise is unparalleled; professional practice, education and training, framed through multi-faceted lived experiences, and my experience in policy shifting advocacy. I hold professional memberships with the Australian ADHD Professionalâs Association (AADPA), ADHD WA, The Centre for Universal Design Australia (CUDA) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
My Mission:
Collaboratively address systemic barriers for persons with ADHD, to advance solutions and manifest change.
People with ADHD have exceptional potential, yet are too often disabled by external factors, and unconscious ableism. I coach clients towards compassionate self-awareness, to find who they really are, strengths and challenges included. ADHD coaching is a vital resource within support networks; disorder and deficit are behavioral manifestations of internal and external stressors. My ADHD clients have described my coaching services as âlife-changingâ. I coach adults, parents and can coach teenagers when applicable.
I am driven by a lifetime of ADHD lived experiences, from varied perspectives, as a woman, wife and mother with ADHD, extensive advocacy and UK based teaching experience. Experience of implementing UK interdisciplinary frameworks such as âEvery Child Mattersâ, involving multi-agency collaboration and classroom-based strategy design and implementation, including Individual Education Plans (IEPâs). Educator expertise combined with extensive advocacy, and lived experiences, mean my knowledge, experience and skills to align Australian legislation and frameworks, with the needs of children with ADHD in education, is unparalleled.
I have unique insight into systemic barriers to social and financial inclusion, and outcomes for persons with ADHD. Examples of systemic barriers include translations in educational policy and practice, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme. My advocacy enables me to align ratifications within the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability (UNCRPD), and the opportunities for affecting societal change for persons with ADHD. I have the tools and expertise to enrich support networks and facilitate collaborative and communicative processes therein.
I welcome enquiries to address barriers for persons with ADHD, advance solutions and manifest change for individuals, society, sectors, business and agencies.
