Your Difference is Your Strength

Wainwright Yu, MBA, AACC
Wainwright Yu, MBA, AACC

I’m a technology executive, mindfulness teacher, and leadership coach who supports neurodivergent individuals as they discover and harness their (often hidden) strengths.

I started my journey as a coach in 2011 at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business where I was trained in and provided leadership coaching for my fellow MBA students as an Arbuckle Leadership Fellow.

Over 10 years later, I am now an executive at a top global technology company where I am immersed in the rewards and challenges of leading diverse global teams to accomplish audacious goals every day.

While formal coaching took a back seat during this time, I found myself embodying the traits of a coach-like-leader, helping me create high performing teams that consistently expressed above average job satisfaction, all while growing my span of management from tens to hundreds.

I came back to coaching and deepened my mindfulness practice after coming into awareness of my own neurodivergence through my (at first two and now four) multi-exceptional children, explaining both the things in my life I now consider to be sources of strength as well as those that continue to be sources of challenge.

"Wain is an exceptional coach. He helped me navigate complex issues to gain clarity and come up with actionable next steps. He approached every call with curiosity and compassion. I highly recommend him as a coach."

When you work with me, you will:

  1. Connect with your strengths of character – the values that are essential to who you are, that energize you, and that you call for with ease even during the most troubled times.
  2. See with clarity, as if for the very first time, each of the dimensions of your life. Celebrate the good, embrace the not-so-good, and find peace in what is.
  3. From a place of greater peace and connection with your unique strengths and values, you will find the courage to leap forward – with excitement and openness to what is to come.
