Why does ADDCA recommend waiting before starting Advanced Coaching Skills
ADDCA generally recommends allowing at least six months between the completion of Basic Coaching Skills and the start of Advanced Coaching Skills.
This additional time allows students to gain coaching experience, work with a mentor coach, and further integrate the skills learned in Basic Coaching Skills.
ADDCA faculty have found that students often get more value from Advanced Coaching Skills after coaching clients, applying the tools and models learned in Basic Coaching Skills—including QuestVersation—and encountering real coaching situations and challenges.
These experiences provide an important foundation for the advanced discussions, demonstrations, and skill development that take place in Advanced Coaching Skills.
