Ethics of ADHD Coaching Course
Coaches never expect to encounter an ethical problem, but such challenges do arise, and we need to be prepared. Since we work with a population with a diagnosable condition, it is especially important to keep coaching ethics in mind.
Our Ethics of ADHD Coaching course focuses on refreshing your understanding and application of the ICF and PAAC codes of ethics in various ADHD coaching-specific situations.
Taught by ADDCA's Director of Training, Barbara Luther, MCAC, MCC you will learn:
- The importance of ethics and ethical standards in ADHD coaching.
- The differences between the ICF and PAAC codes and how to apply the codes in challenging situations.
- To expand your thinking surrounding ADHD ethical challenges and help you stay out of ethical hot water.
- To incorporate ethical conduct into your business practices and agreements with clients, sponsors, and colleagues.
- To understand the Ethical Conduct Review Process.
- To consider the new ethical challenges we may face with AI and social media in ADHD coaching.
Each session will consist of group discussions of ethical dilemmas and exploring ways to course correct if you should land in a similar situation.
Bring your questions and concerns related to ADHD coaching ethics, as well as any scenarios you have faced or anticipate facing.
Fieldwork: Each week, participants will journal around reflection topics offered to help you apply what you are learning. Learning partner conversations between sessions are encouraged.
