Write your Own Story for the New Year
It's a new year and you have a blank slate to compose a new story. So, what's the theme of your story going to be?
You know the power of your mind to either repel or propel you from taking focused, forward- moving action.
You know what positive messages can do for your brain. Yet, most of you never go to a “proactive place” because you have established strong barriers which prevent you from giving yourself permission to proceed. You feel safe with the negative, limiting plot you have created, even though you know it does not serve you well.
What’s the story you really want to write about and make your new reality? Is it something you really want to pursue but have talked yourself out of? Is it about the pressure you feel to please others while neglecting your own important needs?
Or, is it going to be the story you have been passionate about writing but always find some reason to start writing it another day? Stop making excuses and explanations for what you deserve! A more exciting, meaningful life ignited by the passion in your heart and balanced with the logic of your head.
It begins with taking one purposeful step of action aligned with the sincere, genuine blueprint in your mind. If you don't get the result you hoped for, notice what's missing and revise the next set of actions to get you closer to your intended result. Eventually, by persevering, you will eventually reach your goal. It is the only way I know to truly manifest and experience success.
To create your heartfelt, sincere story, you have to pay attention to your own meaningful theme, the one that consistently ignites the sparks of passion in your heart. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be great. It doesn’t have to be an absolute success.
It does have to be your own honest, practical story aligned with a genuine purpose. A purpose which has the power to immediately create positive emotions which will activate your internal engine and provide you with a source of fuel to sustain the long ride you will need to reach your destination.
Today, January 1, 2016 is the day to begin editing your old story. You can create a new plot supported by a true picture of “who” you are and want to become. You don't have to do this alone. There are trusted friends and family you have to be willing to ask for support. You know who they are but they don't know that you need unless you tell them. They would love to support you, so let them. Remember the lesson I learned many times. You can NOT do it alone.
You possess a great power. It is the most potent power any human possesses and is rarely used. It is the power to pause and pay attention to your life choices.
Take the first action step. Launch your own joyful story today! You have the power, you have the choice. You only have to take the first step to act and begin to make your authentic story real!!
