Permission to Follow My Brain’s Radar (615)

ADHD Education

I used to have a hard time finishing a book.

One of the major beliefs that impeded my ability to read and comprehend material was a belief that I must read every page in a book consecutively. If the book contained 300 pages, I would start reading on page one and, if I eventually made it as far as page 79, and it didn’t hold my attention, I would put the book down and never pick it up again.

Everything can be taken from a man but (1114)

ADHD Quotes

"Everything can be taken from a man but ... the last of the human freedoms; to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way"

-Victor Frankl

I used to think this quote was totally true, but there is one important element that needs to be integrated for it to be true for me.

When you pause, you have the ability to reflect and discern what is happening in the present moment. If your current attitude is not supporting you, you can then choose to change it so that it will. -David Giwerc

In addition there are co-morbid challenges associated with ADHD, such as learning disabilities, anxiety, sleep disorders and depression.

ADDCA In The News

Hello everyone and to those of you who attended last night's ADDA webinar.  I just wanted to take the time to thank the 500+ attendees that were so supportive and kind-hearted during my exciting and wonderful interview.  The interview was with the dynamic, compassionate and wonderful ADDA host Linda Roggli.

I have lately been so grateful to the countless number of people who have been sending their condolences and heartfelt support during the grieving process of losing my dad a few weeks ago. He may not be in the physical world but of course he will always be with me in my spiritual world.
